Reviews
TCExam is a web-based exam system. With this system, teachers and school administrators are able to create exams and quizzes and have students to take them using a standard web-browser. It similar to Google Forms, but it is specifically designed for collecting school-wide assessment data and have functions to support generation of score reports. The system supports various test formats including single answers, multiple choices, ordering answers, and essay questions. Creating exams seem straightforward, and I was able to make my first exam in five minutes. Step by step instructions and videos on the developer's web site were very useful. Answers are automatically aggregated, and you can download test results in CSV, PDF, and XML. I think many institution find this software useful and will be a great alternative to paper-based exams.
I had a problem with installing the system. Although the developer's web site provides detailed instruction for the system installation, I was not be able to get the system running properly due to my limited experience with PHP web applications. So, I used the demo site (http://www.softaculous.com/demos/TCExam) to try the software.
