Dual N-Back Lite

Full Description:

A simple dual n-back trainer. Designed to mimic the simple training scheme outlined in Jaeggi's paper on developing working memory.

GraphicsMagick

Full Description:

GraphicsMagick is the swiss army knife of image processing.

GraphicsMagick supports huge images and has been tested with gigapixel-size images. GraphicsMagick can create new images on the fly, making it suitable for building dynamic Web applications. GraphicsMagick may be used to resize, rotate, sharpen, color reduce, or add special effects to an image and save the result in the same or different image format. Image processing operations are available from the command line, as well as through C, C++, Lua, Perl, PHP, Python, Tcl, Ruby, Windows .NET, or Windows COM programming interfaces.

General purpose graphics converter. Can convert PDF pages to images. Resizes images, makes them transparent and includes a number of other functions.

Mostly command line, but there are some X11 GUI tools included.

Open Movie Editor

Full Description:

Open Movie Editor is a Free and Open Source video editing program, designed for basic movie making capabilities. It aims to be powerful enough for the amateur movie artist, yet easy to use.

KiCad

Full Description:

KiCad is an EDA software suite for the creation of professional schematics and printed circuit boards up to 32 copper layers with additional technical layers. KiCad provides a suite of programs for Schematic Capture and PCB Layout with Gerber output. With KiCad you can create schematic diagrams and printed circuit board up to 32 copper layers. KiCad comes with a rich set of libraries with 3D models as well. KiCad is a mature EDA software tool under active development by a team of developers and a vibrant user group.
KiCad includes a project manager and four main independent software tools:

  • Eeschema, schematic editor.
  • Pcbnew, printed circuit board editor.
  • Gerbview, Gerber file viewer.
  • Cvpcb, footprint selector for components association.
  • SALOME

    Full Description:

SALOME provides a generic platform for Pre and Post-Processing of numerical simulations. It is based on an open and flexible architecture made of reusable components. SALOME can be used as standalone application for generation of CAD models. SALOME can also be used as a platform for integration of external third-party numerical codes to produce a new application for the full life-cycle management of CAD models. Supports interoperability between CAD modeling and computation software (CAD-CAE link). Provides a generic user-friendly and efficient user interface,

    LibreCAD

    Full Description:

Comprehensive 2D CAD application. LibreCAD started as a project to build CAM capabilities into the community version of QCad for use with a Mechmate CNC router.

    FreeCAD

    Full Description:

Parametric modeling allows you to easily modify your design by going back into your model history and changing its parameters. FreeCAD is open source (LGPL license) and completely modular, allowing for very advanced extension and customization. FreeCAD is multiplatfom, and reads and writes many open file formats such as STEP, IGES, STL and others. Got yourself a project you want to build, have built, or 3D printed? Model it in FreeCAD. No previous CAD experience required.

    OpenSCAD

    Full Description:

Software for creating solid 3D CAD objects. Unlike other 3D model creation software it focuses on the CAD aspects. Use it to create 3D models of machine parts. OpenSCAD provides two main modelling techniques. It offers constructive solid geometry (aka CSG) and extrusion of 2D outlines. It can read DXF, STL and OFF files.

    There's also an Android version ( http://scorchworks.com/ScorchCAD/scorchcad.html ).

    Gobby

    Full Description:

Gobby is a free and open source application where multiple users can log into the same ‘session’ to collaborate on text documents with one another.  Gobby is similar to Goole Docs in that more than one individual can work collaboratively on the same document at the same time.  Each user is identified by a different color.  This allows the all users to distinguish what changes are being made and who is making them.  Not only can multiple users edit at the same time, but multiple documents can be collaborated on simultaneously.  These documents are separated individually where users can tab between the documents.  For convenience, Gobby is accessible for various platforms (e.g., Windows, Mac, and Linux).

    fbreader

    Full Description:

FBReader is a multi-platform e-book reader. Free for use, sources are available under the GPL.
