Reviews
Audacity is my go-to audio editor. It is powerful, and works on all major operating systems, which makes it easy to use in class assignments.
Audacity is a free audio editor that I thought would be useful in a number of ways, including capturing story telling, working on public speaking, or even creating songs or podcasts. I think Audacity might be a little complicated for my students, but with some practice, it might be something that could be very useful to them in the future. I think once you figure out how to input and highlight and splice, then everything else is just fun. This software leaves a lot of space for people to experiment and create new things. I am giving Audacity five stars because it is a quality software that can be used in a number of different ways and seemed to be easy to get started. I think it's suitable for 7th grade, but maybe not below that age. I did not have any trouble downloading or using this software, it worked really well and did not crash. I hope to use it in class some day with my students.
